what?

unreal tournament mod-map with
player model

installation:

you need a full installed
unreal tournament on your hd.

unzip the file. copy the files
from the unzipped folder in the
folders of your ut directory.
this should work with both, pc
and macintosh systems.

mapsfolder >> maps
soundsfolder >> sounds
systemfolder >> system
texturesfolder >> textures

run ut and select your new
player model hel+one. select
both team color and face color.

start a practice session. choose
gametype >deathmatch<, and map
>helmap<. set the frag limit to
150, the bot-count to >0< (this
is very important, because the
>helmap< isnt a real death match
level). run the game. if you
want to see your playermodel,
open the console (tabkey) and
enter >behindview 1<. to switch
back to normal view enter
>behindview 0<.

you should turn off the hud,
the onscreen information about
weapons and health (you wont
need them, so they disturb,
i think).

you should also reconfigure
your input controls: in this map
you wont need a weapon. i recommend
the jump-command for mouse one
and the talk-command for mouse two.

bugs and restrictions:

map
as ut is a first-person-shooter,
it is not that easy to get the
scripted robots friendly. if any
of the bots gets hurt and dies, all
other bots get angry and attack
each other. in this case you should
restart the level.

player model
the colors displayed in the pulldown
menu dont match with the real color
of the model.

thanks:

many thanks for scripting and editing
the player model go out to christian
herzog. without his help the robot
wouldnt walk.
